Snooker legend Jimmy White has set up a new online shopping brand – which has been named after his famous nickname.
As well as compete in ranking events and be a pundit for Eurosport, the six-times World Championship finalist now sells snooker cues, cases and other snooker related products as well as watches and other luxury items under the brand new ‘Whirlwind’ brand.
‘Whirlwind’ has been White’s nickname on the snooker circuit for many years.
Details of White’s new venture was announced on his Twitter page on Wednesday afternoon where he urged his fans to ‘spread the word’ about the new brand.
The website https://www.jimmy.com/ launched earlier this week.
A statement from White reads: “Our products are genuinely first class and I do hope that you give us a try, now or in the future, but whether you decide to shop with us today or not, I’d like to thank you for visiting Jimmy.com and checking out the new Whirlwind brand.
“It means the world to me that people genuinely care!”
White still plays on the professional tour due to his invitational wildcard. His playing career, which now spans almost 40 years, has seen him win 10 major ranking events and 14 invitational events.
