The incredible 69 break from Alex Higgins in 1982 World Championship

Under immense pressure knowing just one mistake would cost him the match and a place in the World Championship final, Alex Higgins produced a tremendous break of 69 to win the frame.

The break is regarded as one of the best ever seen at the World Championship. Trailing 15-14 in a thrilling semi-final, Jimmy White was on the verge of victory but incredible potting from the most difficult of positions helped Higgins force the match into a deciding frame – which he subsequently won before lifting the crown just days later.
