The snooker world has sent its condolences to top referee Paul Collier after he revealed his mother passed away in hospital.
Snooker bosses Barry Hearn and Jason Ferguson, top players and many fans of the game, wished Collier all the best by sending messages of support on social media,
Just days ago the hugely respected referee tweeted how his mother became seriously ill after suffering a stroke.

Today he tweeted: “At 7am, the most Wonderful, Amazing Mum and Nanny joined the angels. I will miss, love and adore the best Mother anyone could ever hope for, forever. Rest in peace now, you Inspirational, Beautiful, Perfect lady.”
Hearn, chairman of World Snooker, replied: “Sincere condolences Paul. RIP.
Former world champion Stuart Bingham responded by saying: “Sorry for your loss mate. x”
And top 16 player Joe Perry tweeted: “Sorry for your loss Paul. Thoughts go out to you and your family.”
