TV deal announced for Romanian Masters – but there’s a catch

The all new Romanian Masters will be shown live on Eurosport it has been announced – but you’ll have to be a subscriber to it’s online demand service to see all the action.

World Snooker has announced the 16-man competition featuring the world’s best players will be streamed on Eurosport Player and not on the main Eurosport channels in the UK.

Eurosport Player is Eurosport’s online subscription channel – meaning the tournament is available to watch for those who pay a monthly subscription fee.

The action gets away on Wednesday with the likes of Mark Selby, Judd Trump, John Higgins looking to win a top prize of 50,000 Euros.

The first matches sees Mark Williams take on Ali Carter and Mark King face Stephen Maguire.

King is a replacement for Shaun Murphy who pulled out of the event following injury concerns.

The draw is as follows:

Mark Selby vs Liang Wenbo

Stuart Bingham vs Neil Robertson

Mark Williams vs Ali Carter

Mark King vs Stephen Maguire

John Higgins vs Anthony McGill

Barry Hawkins vs Ryan Day

Mark Allen vs Kyren Wilson

Judd Trump vs Luca Brecel
