Colin Murray announces he is leaving Eurosport’s snooker coverage

TV presenter Colin Murray has announced the recent World Championship was his last snooker event for Eurosport UK.

The popular host has been presenting snooker on the channel for the past few years and has been a big hit with fans, especially with his enthusiastic and chatty style.

Murray, who used to host Match of The Day 2 for the BBC back in the day, said the decision was so he could concentrate on his football coverage for the same network and his radio work in the future.

He tweeted: “No biggie but that World Championship was my last snooker event for @Eurosport_UK .

“Next season I’m going to focus on EFLonQuest (which is part of the same Discovery family and my radio. Work/life balance, mental health and all that.”

Snooker fans were gutted after learning of Murray’s announcement.

Andy Lambley tweeted: “Good luck Colin, always enjoyed you presenting snooker on Eurosport, definitely will be a miss but thank you for all your work.”

Brian Wright also cheekily added: “Good luck in all that you do Colin and stay well and keep talking you’re rather good at it and will be sorely missed by the snooker family.”

Snooker Chat would like to wish Colin Murray all the best in the future.

  2. This is about Stephen Hendry suggesting a nice watch would be a good prize for a 147 , if this were to be done , the obvious thing to do is to pick out the 1 the 4 and 7 on watch in gold.
