Mark Allen continued his rich vein of form to win the Champion of Champions for the first time in his career.
The Ulsterman added another major trophy to his CV – and his first in almost two years – after beating Neil Robertson 10-6 in Sunday’s final.
And nobody can argue Allen fully deserves it after beating world number 1 Judd Trump and reigning world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan en-route to his £150,000 payday.
The world number 8 was never behind throughout the high-quality final and fired in four century breaks and five breaks of 50-plus in another impressive display which showed his class temperament on the baize.

Victory means Allen has won the World Open, International Championship, Players Championship, Scottish Open, the Masters and now the Champion of Champions.
For Robertson it is more frustration after losing his second major final of the season so far.
The Australian lost out in last month’s English Open final to Judd Trump in a thrilling final frame decider.
