World number one Mark Selby has sensationally been knocked out in the first round of the UK Championship.

The three-times world champion suffered a 6-3 loss to James Cahill earlier tonight. 

Cahill is currently playing as an amatuer after losing his professional status and  his place on the main snooker tour two years ago. 

The result is without doubt the biggest shock in the tournament so far.
