Mark Allen has landed himself one of the biggest ranking titles of the season after he comfortably beat Neil Robertson to win the International Championship.
The Northern Ireland potter took home a cheque for £175,000 after winning the China based event in rather convincing style.
The tournament is one of the biggest in calendar with only two other ranking events offering a bigger pay cheque for the winner.
This year’s Masters winner beat Robertson 10-5 in a rather one-sided grand final in Daqing which saw Allen lead at one stage 7-1.
Robertson did his best to mount a comeback by winning three frames on the bounce but Allen hit back with breaks of 101 and 113 to take the match away from his opponent.
It’s a bitter sweet victory for Allen who last year had to settle for being runner-up in the tournament after losing to Mark Selby. He has also suffered two other final defeats in this competition in previous years.

But a dominant display from Allen secured his fourth ranking title of his career and his third on Chinese soil. The win sees Allen climb up to seventh place in the World Rankings list.
The next big snooker event begins on Monday with the invitational Champion of Champions event taking centre stage in Coventry.
