World Snooker says queues are already in place with more than 15 HOURS to go before next year’s World Championship tickets go on sale.
A selection of tickets for next year’s showdown at the Crucible Theatre will be on sale from 9am on Sunday. These will be available to buy in person only.
World Snooker says tickets will then go on general online sale from Monday.
An update article on the World Snooker website says that already a queue is in place – meaning dedicated snooker fans will be queuing overnight in a bid to ensure they get a seat for next year’s tournament.
The article, which was published earlier today, reads: “Fans are already queuing outside the Crucible. There is a queuing system with barriers in place. We ask fans to follow the queuing system and observe queue etiquette!”
A tweet by snooker fan Chris Downer suggest queues started forming at the famous site from 11am this morning with the first ones appearing to sit on deck chairs.
