Ali Carter will meet Ronnie O’Sullivan once again at the Crucible after he produced a spirited comeback to secure a place in the last 16 of the World Championship.

The two-times finalist will once again meet the man who has beaten him in two World Championship finals after he came back from behind to beat Graeme Dott.
Carter had once trailed 6-2 but managed to turn the match around to complete a close and hard-fought 10-8 win over the 2006 world champion.
Starting the final session 6-3 adrift, Carter made the perfect start in his bid to rescue the match as breaks of 62 and 108 saw him reduce his deficit to just a single frame.
Carter then managed to pull level winning frame 12 before Dott regained the lead at 7-6..
The next frame saw Carter level again but a break of 75 from the former world champion put him back in front at 8-7.
It was then a close finish as Carter made a break of 69 to level at 8-8 before he then dominated the next two frames to complete a narrow victory.
Earlier today, Ronnie O’Sullivan also came back from behind to reach the second round. The five-times world champion beat Stephen Maguire 10-7.
O’Sullivan beat Carter comfortbaly in the finals of the 2008 and 2012 World Championship.
