Seven-times world snooker champion Stephen hendry has announced full details of his new autobiography.
The legendary snooker player, who once dominated the world game, told his thousands of Twitter followers this morning (Wednesday) that his new book will be released in early September of this year. The date for release is September 6.
The autobiography is called “Me and the Table” and is available now for pre-order.
Hendry won the World Championship seven times and was the world number one for eight consecutive seasons between 1990 and 1998.
He was also the youngest World Champion of the sport at the age of 21.
Details come just weeks after Hendry hinted a new book was coming when he answered a question from one of his fans on Twitter.
The book would be his first official autobiography and is likely to tell the story on how he became snooker’s dominant star of the 1990s.
Hendry retired from the game in 2012 after reaching being thrashed 13-2 in the World Championship quarter-final to Stephen Maguire. In the first round of that tournament he made a 147 at the Crucible.
Now he can be seen as a pundit on BBC’s and ITV’s live coverage of snooker tournaments. He also does lots of work in China to promote snooker and pool.
