More tickets for this year’s World Championship are to go on sale this week – but you’ll have to be fast on the button to get them.
World Snooker has revealed “a limited number” of extra tickets have been released for fans to buy so they can experience snooker’s biggest tournament at the famous Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
It is not been announced which tickets are up for grabs but World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn has urged fans to be alert as possible as available tickets are considered to be “gold dust”.
Tickets went on sale last May and sold out within 48 hours. But World Snooker will issue out a small number of tickets previously held by one of its partners.
The tickets go on sale this Friday (January 26) at 10am and will be available to buy by calling the Box Office on 0844 65 65 147 or by visiting www.worldsnooker.com/tickets/2018-betfred-world-championship/.
World Snooker Chairman Barry Hearn said: “Tickets for this event are like gold dust so this is a rare opportunity for fans book seats.
“Demand is so high that we have decided for the 2019 World Championship to reduce the maximum number of tickets each person can book to four, allowing more fans the chance to come to the Crucible and experience this unique event. Tickets will be on sale from May 7th, the day that this year’s tournament finishes.”
