And you can tell how much the win meant to Ding as you see him start to get emotional during the embrace and when leaving the arena.

Ding Junhui told the media after his win O’Sullivan congratulated him and said he had become a much improved player, especially his break building game.

David Grace, who made his Crucible debut last week losing to Kyren Wilson, tweeted his delight over the sportsmanship shown.
