China Open final climax to be screened on Freeview TV

The climax to this year’s China Open final will be screened on Freeview TV, it has been announced.

The concluding session of the major ranking final on Sunday, April 2, will be shown on Quest TV – channel 37 – making it available for a wider TV audience.

The channel is operated by the Discovery Network which also runs Eurosport UK and both will simulcast all live sessions of World Snooker’s China Open from Monday, March 27.

However Quest will air the final’s concluding session exclusively live at 12.30pm on Sunday 2nd April. Eurosport 2 will show full final highlights at 6pm.

The China Open is the most established ranking event in the Far East since its launch twelve years ago. Last year saw Judd Trump win the tournament for a second time when he beat Ricky Walden.

It is the last major ranking event prior to the season ending World Championship, making it a vital week for players to find form and improve their world ranking position – including those seeking a top 16 automatic Crucible spot.
