The China Open is the most established ranking event in the Far East since its launch twelve years ago. Last year saw Judd Trump win the tournament for a second time when he beat Ricky Walden.
It is the last major ranking event prior to the season ending World Championship, making it a vital week for players to find form and improve their world ranking position – including those seeking a top 16 automatic Crucible spot.
