MARK SELBY remains on course to complete back to back ranking event wins after he produced a trademark comeback to break Stuart Bingham’s heart and win a thriller 6-5.

The world champion, who won the Paul Hunter Classic last month, was in big trouble when a brilliant recovery from the Basildon man saw him take charge of the match with a 5-3 lead after trailing 3-1 at the interval.

But not for the first time in his career, Selby showed his world class battling skills and turned a likely defeat into a stunning victory by winning the final three frames of the contest.

The Leicester star will face either Ding Junhui or Stephen Maguire in tomorrow’s  best-of-19 finale.

Should Ding win the second semi-final then Sunday’s finale will be a repeat of this year’s World Championship showdown at the Crucible.
