JUDD Trump booked his place into next season’s Champion of Champions event after he secured his second career Championship League title.

The Bristol star, ranked number 5 in the world, beat Martin Gould 3-1 to win the event for the second time following his first success in 2009.

The non-ranking event, first introduced to the sport in 2008, is played by 25 of the world’s top players who each earn money for frames won in the group stages and progress made throughout the competition.

Trump earned more than £14,000 in this year’s tournament and sealed the title with a break of 109 against last year’s winner.

The win adds to an impressive start for the 2011 World Championship runner-up following his run to the German Masters final last month.

Final

Judd Trump 3-1 Martin Gould

Semi Finals

Stephen Maguire 0-3 Martin Gould
Shaun Murphy 2-3 Judd Trump
