EUROPEAN tour winner Mark Allen is aiming to follow up his recent success with another major title to his name.
The world number 11 celebrated his second successive PTC title on Sunday when he was crowned the winner of the Kay Suzanne Memorial Cup – the season’s sixth European Tour event – after victory over Judd Trump.
His win came just a matter of weeks after he won the Ruhr Open in Germany – another of the season’s minor ranking titles.
And with two big competitions coming up – the Champion of Champions and the UK Championship – Allen is eyeing up more glory and looking to add to his two World Open titles.
“I played very solid snooker over the last couple of days,” he told World Snooker.
“I had one tight match in the last 32 against Gary Wilson, which I won 4-3, but apart from that I won most of my matches quite comfortably. It’s nice to have won two titles already this season as not many other players have done that.
“My target now is to win a big title and I’m full of confidence. I’m just happy to be playing well because I was struggling earlier in the season.”
