ALI CARTER has become the second top 16 ranked player to pull out of next week’s Haikou World Open.
Carter has withdrawn on medical grounds and his announcement comes just days after Ronnie O’Sullivan confirmed he would not be taking part for similar reasons.
The ranking event begins on Monday (February 27) and the world number 13 was due to play Marcus Campbell in the last 32 stage.
Carter’s withdrawal now means Campbell receives a bye into the last 16 stage.
